  •  How to get to the venues?
 
Sakae to Nagoya Castle:
Take subway Meijyo Line (purple line) clockwise to M07 Shiyakusho (City Hall).
Sakae to Nagoya University:
  1. Take Higashiyama Line (yellow line) bound for Fujigaoka to H16 Motoyama and change to Meijo Line. M18 Nagoya Daigaku (Nagoya University) station is in one stop toward Yagoto.
  2. Take Meijo Line clockwise to M18 Nagoya Daigaku (Nagoya University). This may take slightly longer, but you can avoid the transfer and cloud. 
Bring some cash! Not all ticket machines take credit cards.

  • Hanami: Enjoy cherry blossom
Sakura (cherry blossom) forecast 2018
 
It is one of the most popular Japanese tradition to have a picnic under cherry blossom trees. To enjoy this, we would recommend bringing your own lunch on Monday. There would be some food stands available as well at Nagoya Castle.

       (Note that reasonable tickets to Japan will be sold out quickly due to the cherry blossom season)

  • Recommended area to book a hotel room is around Sakae station.
      The area has a lot of restaurants and stores and the access to both the venues is good.
